KRUTAGNYA
An Expression of Gratitude
Krutagnya, true to its meaning in Sanskrit, was founded in 2014 with a mission of expressing gratitude. It is said that with gratitude, yesteryears make sense, the present is peaceful, and the tomorrow carries a clear vision.

Krutagnya is committed to honour the gift of music and humbly give back to the community; to spread love and respect for nature and the environment among students and encourage them to contribute their best in every possible way; to make quality music accessible to the underprivileged.

In alignment with its mission, Krutagnya conducts two events every year. The first event is “Violin Vaibhavam” held every January in collaboration with the Lalgudi Trust. This event showcases highly talented and budding violinists from various acclaimed banis and provides a central platform for the violin. The second event is held mid-year, featuring presentations, lecture demonstrations, and interactive workshops by eminent musicians, musicologists, voxologists, laya vidwans and other experts from related disciplines.

Admissions to these events are free for all. Krutagnya takes pleasure in inviting all students, musicians and well-wishers to attend in large numbers and support the organization. These highly insightful programmes provide opportunities for students to learn the intricacies of this art form from experts.

In order to sustainably conduct these events and make quality music accessible to all, Krutagnya invites your earnest support by way of donations. While we welcome your generous contributions, no amount is too small for Krutagnya. Your sustained support would make every vision of Krutagnya a reality, and would motivate Krutagnya to aspire for more.
Krutagnya is a charitable Trust instituted by Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi in the year 2014 with an objective of expressing gratitude for this life of music and learning. In line with this sentiment, Krutagnya conducts two events every year. The first event is the Violin Vaibhavam, held in January, in collaboration with the Lalgudi Trust (a non-profit organization managed by Shri G.J.R. Krishnan). This event showcases highly talented and budding violinists from various acclaimed banis, and provides a central platform for the violin. Violin Vaibhavam is 5 years old now. Four of thes events were conducted in Chennai, and one in Bengaluru.

Krutagnya also conducts a mid-year event, featuring informational presentations, lecture demonstrations, and interactive workshops by eminent musicians, musicologists, voxologists, Laya vidwans and other experts from related disciplines.

In the future, Krutagnya plans to extend its scope to reach quality music to senior citizens in old-age homes, children in orphanages, and to the needy in general. Admissions to all Krutagnya events are free. As Krutagnya moves forward, making quality music accessible to all, this mission can be accomplished better only from generous support and contributions from music lovers and enthusiasts.
